About
Murray & Murray LLC
When clients describe their experience with Murray & Murray, integrity and unwavering support come up without fail as markers of the firm’s service.
Since its beginning in 1996, the firm has been cementing its now 30-year legacy of high-level legal expertise and genuine local advocacy. Spanning personal injury and bankruptcy law to estate planning advice, the firm aims to make clients feel confident, supported, and lightened, from the first consultation to the final meeting.
The team works not simply from a passion for advocacy, but from a strong desire to help those experiencing “life interrupted.” Clients come to the firm in their most vulnerable moments when it seems there is nowhere else to go. They rely on Murray & Murray to restore their life, and in turn, the firm ensures clients do not face their struggles alone.
"At Murray & Murray, we don't believe in just opening new files; we believe in adding value to your life. That is why we have a firm rule: we won’t take your case unless we can work on your matter immediately. Our priority isn't the settlement – it's the solution," said co-founder Dwayne Murray. And through this rule, Murray & Murray has built a reputation of taking on cases the attorneys are confident they can win, providing a strong sense of security for all clients.
In a field that can sometimes feel transactional and cold, the firm stretches out a distinctly warm and neighborly helping hand, providing empathetic care that translates into aggressive representation. Though locally oriented, clients can expect “big city” results from an invested and caring team.
Every attorney is equipped with years of experience and actively stays at the forefront of the legal landscape through annual CLEs and national conferences. This ensures that even as the law changes, not only do the attorneys stay on top of its intricacies, but they approach it with consistent attentiveness.
Whether over Zoom or in person, Murray & Murray works with clients to show them potential pathways through the legal process and even after, helping to make a recovery – whether physical, financial, mental, or emotional – as swift and painless as possible.
One such example that sticks out to the team was the case of a single mother who lost her vehicle in an accident. More than just losing transportation, she experienced a downward spiral as a result, unable to go to work or take her daughter to school. Recognizing this was a life crisis rather than a legal problem, the firm stepped in to make sure she had reliable transportation and was able to get her life back on track.
Firm attorney Alonna Murray-Brown summed it up best: "A legal crisis is rarely just about paperwork; it is a life crisis that threatens your stability. Whether we are securing a recovery after a personal injury, providing a fresh start through bankruptcy, or protecting your legacy with estate planning, we don't just file cases – we intervene. At Murray & Murray, we step into the gap the moment you hire us to ensure that a difficult chapter doesn't define your family's entire story."
Murray & Murray’s care for clients stems largely from the fact that the firm is a family-run business itself. Family is not just a selling point but an operational philosophy, extending further into the larger Baton Rouge community. The team stays true to the commitment it has had from the beginning of maintaining a sustainable and positive impact on the Baton Rouge community as a whole by taking care of the individuals and families that live there.
Combining complex litigation understanding with the boutique, personal service that has defined the firm for decades, Murray & Murray treats the future of clients’ families as seriously as it treats its own.
